I AM PORT CHARLES

Like the late, lamented GENERAL HOSPITAL spin-off, I too am only on once a week. No, not on Soapnet, but at the flower shop where I am now working one shift a week! That's OK with me, though, because I prefer to get my daily dose of drama from TV soaps and not from my workplace. Stay tuned as I send out resumes and catch up on my soap viewing...

How would you keep up with your soaps if you ever got a full-time job?!

The last time I had a full-time job I only watched AS THE WORLD TURNS, which commands my attention through having hot gay characters, the best cast on daytime and occasionally brilliant writing. In the US there is a cable network called Soapnet that runs some of the day's shows at nights and in weekend marathons, so I could use that to more casually watch soaps. My challenge to daytime drama is to make soaps so good that I HAVE to DVR them and make time to watch them, regardless of how much I'm working!
