Because we have episodes going back to November 11 2009 clogging up our DVR, that's why! Tonight we watched Tom Pelphrey's first episode, where he brought a theatrical intensity to even this loopy story of youth serums, James Stenbeck and ingenue grabbing on stairwells.

Ingenue grabbing in stairwells is so 2009. Oh wait, so was that episode! Me personally, I grab the ingenue on the fire-escape of a converted warehouse while he's taking a break from sculpting by having a smoke. Mark my words - 2010 is all about fire-escape ingenue grabbing.
Poor AS THE WORLD TURNS is getting cancelled and can't even afford a fire-escape! Tiny rooms and stairwells are the dramatic backdrop for life in ATWT.
